AU. Fraser leaves with Victoria, and makes one last phone call to Ray. It’s just a little scene, just a sliver of the story, but it’s so rich in what it shows and what it doesn’t. The Vecchio voice is fantastic.
Could be considered either Fraser/Vecchio or gen, depending on how you read it. Victoria shows up in Vegas, and the Bookman responds. What a fabulous angsty gem of a story this is.
Fraser/Victoria: Fraser and Victoria on Fortitude Pass. What I like about this is that it’s focused on completely different elements than either canon or most fanfiction does in this bit of backstory - not on the poem or them huddling together against the elements, but why each of them is doing what they’re doing. There are some interesting twists of motivation that suggest different than usual readings of canon.
Angst. The intercut footage of arctic scenes and polar bears is really cool.
